A good listing answers a buyer's questions before they ask. It has clear photos, a specific title, honest details and a fair price. Follow the checklist below and you will get fewer time-wasters and more serious buyers.

Photos: the first thing buyers judge
- Take 5 to 8 photos in daylight against a plain background. The first photo should show the whole item.
- Show every flaw clearly. A visible scratch in a photo is better than an argument at the meeting.
- Show proof where it matters: the bill, the box, the odometer, the model label.
- Hold the camera steady and clean the lens. Avoid filters, and do not use stock photos.
Titles that match what people search
- Use the pattern: brand + model + key feature + condition + area. Example: "Hero Splendor 2019, 24,000 km, single owner, Arera Colony".
- Avoid all-capital words, many symbols and phrases like "urgent sale" without details. They do not help buyers find you.
- Use the words buyers use, in English or Hinglish, naturally. Do not stuff the title with city names.
Description: answer these questions
- Age, condition, any repairs or defects, and the reason for selling.
- What is included: charger, box, keys, papers, accessories.
- Price: fixed or slightly negotiable. Payment method you accept.
- Where you can meet, and when you are free.
Pricing
- Compare three to five similar listings in your area before you set your price.
- Set the price a little above your minimum, so that you have room to negotiate.
- Reduce the price after two weeks if there are views but no calls.
After you post
- Share the listing link to your WhatsApp status and to family groups or colony groups in which you are a member. Do not spam groups.
- Reply quickly and politely. Many buyers decide in the first hour.
- Mark the item as sold once it is sold, so that you do not get more calls.

Safety tips
- Meet in a public, well-lit place and, where possible, take someone with you.
- Inspect the item before you pay and check it matches the listing.
- Never pay in advance, share OTPs, or move payment outside the agreed meeting.
- Keep contact through the listing page — contact details are privacy-gated in the app.
- Report suspicious sellers instead of continuing the conversation.
Frequently asked questions
How many photos should I add?
Five to eight good photos are usually enough for most items. For vehicles and property, add more.
Should I write the price in the title?
You can, but it is better to put it in the price field and keep the title for the item details.
Is it okay to use photos from the internet?
No. Use your own photos. Stock photos reduce trust and break the rules of most classifieds.
How long should a description be?
Enough to answer the buyer's questions. Usually 60 to 150 words with the key facts is plenty.
